Hi guys!
We’ve decided to give back something to a city that has given us so much.
In keeping with the festive spirit of the Pujas we’re giving free walks to all permanent Calcutta residents. (Under certain flexible terms and conditions.)
So Calcuttans need not venture out of the city to have a unique tourism experience. It’s all happening right here in good old Kolkata.
Spread the word and the cheer.
Warm regards,
The CalWalks team
I am from Calcutta and have always had an interest in the city’s little lanes offering so much history. I heard recently about your endeavor from a friend who has recently joined your explorers’ team, but honestly, from the impression I got from her (let me mention she was impressed, as was my husband) I am not sure if this kind of a group walk is really worth it. Wouldn’t one rather walk around alone, if one was interested, and take one’s own time at a place, photographing it, or simply being there? I did not understand the rationale of the walk from what she said, so perhaps if you could tell me why I should join a walk rather than take my own tour, I could be interested in joining you guys for a walk the next time I am in town…?
