Explorer Ritwick comes aboard!

The latest to join the walking brigade has 9 years of experience in the travel trade. We hope to learn a lot from him. Especially from his stint at Annapurna Base Camp where he walked over 300 km’s.

  1. This is Explorer Ritwick trying to introduce himself – as best as he can!!
Mt. Annapurna stint yr 1996 – Instead of of the conventional route ( Thorang pass ) we attempted the Mesokanta La – not tried earlier by millions of Indians & very few mountaineering expeditions negotiating Mesokanta. Thus an almost untrodden trek completed successfully – hardly realising what an achievement it was unless print reports & the mountaineering fraternity told me + 2 other friends who had accompanied me.

Years went by with all kinds of events with all their pluses & minuses. In the mean time Ritwick ( me ) got exposed to different kinds of Adventure activities in Eastern India – Parasailing, Rafting, Hot Air Balooning, Water skiing et al. I also got involved with Water Based Tourism & Main stream Tourism in Eastern India but then I started earning my bread as a free lancing Tourist Guide – You could call THIS the Turning Point. Showing Eastern India with Calcutta as it’s Hub definitely had a mark on my life.

Year 2010. First Urban Trek of my life. Absolutely set me off – amazing experience with amazing people in the City of Calcutta. Calcutta Walks happened to me. Look East!! Became the latest mantra & The New Journey Started & will go on with the help of healthy people.
